Lionesses continue to lead in 4NCL national league

The She Plays To Win teams in the 4NCL (4 Nations Chess League, the prestigious national chess league in the UK) go from strength to strength.

After 2 weekends, each weekend with 2 matches, the Lionesses lead Division 2 with 4 wins from 4 matches! An incredible achievement so far, given they are either outrated or match their opponents in every round so far.

The girls are joint leaders with ‘SchachAttack’ who the Lionesses play in February as a top of the table clash. Both teams have won all 4 matches so far.

With 3 teams from the Division getting promoted to Division 1, the girls are understandably excited by realise there is a lot of chess to be played before the end of the season in May.

There has never been an all female squad before in the 35 year history of the 4NCL, let alone one challenging at the top. The girls are breaking new ground with every passing match!
