CSC and SPTW run girls’ tournament in Marylebone

She Plays To Win continued its starter girls tournament series across the UK by holding a central London event at the St Marylebone School in Baker Street, London, for over 50 primary and secondary girls.

This was held in collaboration with the school and Chess In Schools and Communities (CSC) a partner chess charity.

This starter tournament series allows girls the chance to play other girls who also know how to play, but have little or no tournament chess experience at all, to play in a controlled environment against girls of a similar level. This boosts confidence to learn how a chess tournament works- and that it is not a scary thing!
